扎卡里与深圳的缘分始于2004年。像许多早期淘金者一样，他从贸易起步。但随着深圳产业生态的演变，他敏锐地将重心转向了产品研发——一个更需要产业链深度的方向。
Zachary’s bond with Shenzhen began in 2004. Like many early gold-seekers, he started with trade. But as Shenzhen’s industrial ecosystem evolved, he wisely shifted his focus to product R&D, a field that requires stronger industry chains.

In 2021, Zachary set up his company, 深圳市爱玩运动管理有限公司，in Futian, focusing on product R&D in fitness and sports.

如今，聚焦健康和运动领域，扎卡里设计出多款产品，让人们能在不同环境下练习不同类型的运动。同时，他也正结合一些数字化设计，让成人和家庭的“动起来”变得更有趣。
Now, with a focus on health and sports, Zachary has designed several products helping people practice different kinds of sports in different settings. Meanwhile, he is also adding digital designs to make it more fun for adults and families to “get moving.”
福田速度，让创意来不及褪色
Futian Speed: Ideas Don’t Have Time to Fade Away
在采访中，扎卡里不止一次提到“速度”。“在这里，你能以极低的成本快速试错。这种‘从0到1’的验证速度，是其他城市难以复制的。”
During the interview, Zachary mentioned “speed” more than once. “Here in Futian, you can try and fail fast at a very low cost. The speed of going from zero to one is something other cities find it hard to copy.”
这种速度源于福田独特的产业配套。其公司所在的华强北，实现“上午设计、下午打样、次日量产、一周出海”，从元器件采购到SMT贴片，高度集聚的供应链让产品开发周期被压缩到了极致。
This speed is driven by Futian’s unique industrial supporting facilities. His company is in Huaqiangbei, where you can “design in the morning, make a prototype in the afternoon, start mass production the next day, and ship abroad within a week.” From parts purchase to SMT assembly, the highly integrated supply chain cuts product development time to the shortest possible.
此外，这里的创新氛围开放流动，不同国籍、不同背景的创业者们互相碰撞，一个不经意的聊天就往往能催生一个新的灵感。
Also, the creative vibe here is open and lively. Founders from different countries and backgrounds inspire each other, and a casual chat often sparks a new idea.
“你能不断打磨、迭代想法，快速获取零部件并尝试新设计。”扎卡里说，“这对于探索多元创意极具价值。”
“You can keep working on and improving your ideas, get parts fast, and try new designs,” says Zachary. “That’s very valuable for exploring all kinds of ideas.”

Seeing What’s Possible in the Future
如今的扎卡里，不再局限于单一的产品研发。他正在规划一条更长的赛道：引入投资、扩大规模，寻求与企业、学校等合作，并通过“运动+社交”的模式，不断拓展应用场景。
Now, Zachary is no longer just developing one single product. He is planning a longer track: bring in investment, grow its scale, work with companies and schools, and through a “sports + social” model, find more ways to apply his products.
“我希望能把现在的项目做大，搬进更大的办公室。”谈及未来，他的眼中闪着光。
“I hope to my current project bigger and move into a larger office,” he says, his eyes sparkling as he talks about the future.

As Zachary sums up his startup experience in Futian: “Being able to be an entrepreneur is much easier here than it is in other places , because of the cost , and then also because of the speed at which you can iterate your ideas.”
